Frequently asked questions
Back to homeDo estimates and time use the same units?
Estimates are in working days. Tracked seconds are converted to days using your team’s hours-per-day setting. This keeps estimates and actuals comparable.
Who can approve time?
Team owners can approve or reject time entries. Only approved entries count towards rollups and reporting.
Can I change hours per working day?
Yes, each team has an Hours per working day setting in Team Admin → General. The default is 8 hours/day (range 0–20). Changing this affects how tracked seconds convert to days in rollups.
Is there a scheduler and boards?
Yes. Use the planner to create and share day-level slots and the boards/Gantt views to plan and visualize project work.
How do I invite people and manage memberships?
Team owners can invite members by email, set roles, and manage membership display names. Invited users will be created as accounts if needed and get a membership record which they can accept. Memberships have statuses (pending, verified, rejected) that control visibility and access.
What happens when I change an account email?
Changing a user’s email updates the user record. The app prevents duplicate emails across users. If you attempt to change an email to one already in use, the update will be rejected.
How do notifications work?
Notifications are created for owners, assignees, and watchers where appropriate. The app avoids sending notifications to unverified or rejected memberships in most flows. Users can opt out of push notifications in settings.
How should I think about privacy and PII?
Memberships have a “status” that controls whether personally-identifiable information (PII) is exposed to other members. Unverified memberships hide most PII. Team owners can see full PII for administration. The app minimizes leakage of user data across teams and shared resources.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
